1.
There's a high-rise skyline, edging on the view, A testament to dreams, old and new. In the shadow of the Metropolis, I make my claim, In this ceaseless rhythm of the SkyTrain game. SkyTrain's hum is a modern sonnet, Overhead, the pines make a bonnet. From zone two I ride, to where I must, On these steel rails, I place my trust.. On the expo line, the skytrain ride Oh you’re so grand Baby, take my hand Baby, east to king George Babe, west to waterfront In this life of movement, I’m just a participant Ohhh ohhh ohhh
2.
Well New Westminsters’ got a charm, but it's fleeting, it’s fleeting Here comes Columbia, hold on, but it’s fleeting, it’s fleeting And I met a coder in Surrey, but we got lost, we got lost Cuz by the time we reached King George, he was gone, he was gone So I went back, I went back, I went past 22nd, I past Edmonds, it’s all a blur Each station is like a snapshot, a sociological tour. The Expo Lines' a paradox, a modern work of art, from the 80s It's a window to the soul of the city's beating heart. And I’m riding on the Expo, Waterfront to King George, yeah baby
3.
There's a dude with a boombox, playin tunes, on the expo line There's a girl on her laptop, penning her first book, on the expo line There’s a guy reciting Shakespeare lines, on the expo line Welcome to where life intertwines, welcome to the expo line You're the theatre of our city, you’re the theatre, on the expo line

about

"Ride the Expo Line" is a grunge, bluesy folk-rock 3 track EP, inspired by and dedicated to Metro Vancouver's very own rapid transit route. It's a tribute to the sights, sounds, and riders of the Expo Line. Recorded in a spontaneous home session with vocals and guitalele, a rapid transit trip in itself, clocking in at under 5 minutes.
